Quote from Woz :Take it apart and take out the spring for the updown axis. Then it will not spring to centre

That Joystick has only one spring right under the stick, so it won't work.

League racing is a good reason that makes you learn to drive cars you haven't before, because you have to practice with it Its the way I learned to drive XRT properly

Highly unlikely. If even you will remove the rotation limiter, you'll have to completly rewrite the drivers for the wheel, because it just won't read any more than 270 degrees.

New pot might improve accurancy, but only if its compatible, so yes, it can improve accurancy, but pot has nothing to do with rotation. As far as I know all wheels with high degrees of rotation use optical sensors, not pots

Quote from UncleBenny :I'm guessing LFS would have to be updated to support this, would be cool if this came in with the next patch though.

Maybe its worth posting in Test patch or Improvment(less likely to be noticed by Scawen there though) area to notify Scawen about it while there are preparations for new official patch going?
This would be very useful G25/DFP users I guess...

Quote from kroozin :1) why dont people call it its real name. i.e choku dori or manji
2) The Teamorange cars were forsaleon driftworks a few weeks back.

Because those techniques are performed in empty roads in proper RWD drift-prepared cars, not in a fat lame FWD car in a traffic smashing pedestrians from time to time maybe?

Do you really think PD wants to improve physics? I doubt it, the've got the franchise that brings them money, thats what they need. IF they really wanted to improve physics, they could, not like they have hardware limitations like GT4 had with PS2.

Quote from Samor :the idea of a clutch + sequential shifter seems odd to me.

quality-wise, is this wheel much better than the TM Ferrari GT 2 in 1 (force feedback version)?
I saw both in a store; the GT 2 in 1 is almost half the price and I don't know if I really need a clutch if it doesn't come with a H-shifter...

Works perfectly fine as for me (even tho I don't have that wheel)
Not all race cars have H-pattern gearboxes but still need manual clutch work (on downshifts mainly) so its not odd at all

Quote from Scatter :^: How about setting the affinities of LFS and FRAPS on different cores? Open up task manager and instead of having them use all cores, set LFS to 1 or 2 cores and Fraps to the other 1 or 2 cores. I think that might work for dual core/quad core users.

as far as I know, Fraps of version higher than 2.8.2 does that by itself. I can record vids with full grids of cars in SO with stable 30fps just fine, but for some weird reason whenever I try to record with fraps from LFS with AA fps locks at 10 fps for a weird reason, and its not hardware, fraps ain't taking 110 of fps surely too...

sorry for off-topic

Quote from bumper :when im using no AA in LFS this works, otherwise it's a black screen

confirmed. Those who have black screen, try switching off AA, it should work.

Quote from evilpimp :But LFS only uses 1 2.4ghz instead of the 4.0 its sopose to have with both since its Dual Core.

LFS uses one core, FRAPS uses others (version >2.8.2) His PC might be powerful, but thats probably AA that shoots it down.

wow, what a great news about G25 just when I'm going to buy one rofl

Happy recovery to you. Just on a side note, did you hold the wheel in the right way or were switching hands etc.?

Quote from luftrofl :You have to drive smoother. Be sure to blip the throttle on downshifts and increase the pressures of the front tires.

what he said, also use sensible amount of camber on fronts, more than -4.00 degrees of live camber definetly won't help your tyres to be cool. But then again you'll have lots of understeer and you'll need to compenstae that too (higher rear ARB, softer front spings etc.)

Quote from Gekkibi :Why would you want to do that?

Not on purpose, I guess, I had earned a DT for rolling back on FE3 in GTTC Round 3 race when my car spawned without a handbrake, still more of a driver fault.

As for SnG, its correct, its the way this penalty works IRL

well, maybe for an FXO (I don't know because I don't drive that car) it does make sense, but not for XRT. XRT has a a great tyre wear, and tyres don't heat up to much and do it equally, with a proper setup, if you have troubles with fronts of XRT you might be using too much steering input (XRT rarely needs it, mostly steered with the throttle) or using too much camber with too soft pressures.

I took part in GTTC cup with XRT, races were about 30 mins long and I had no problems with tyres, they heated equally and not higher than 74-78 *C.

Here are some of the sets I used, they were based on HL sets, with tweaked camber/pressures.

Quote from Qvarnis :Oh nice. I`ll get the DFP then. I`m sure the clutch pedal is nice but with so much extra price, ain`t worth it.

IF your old wheel's pedals are working, then use it as a clutch

I'm afraid there isn't much you can do about it with a pad. It's not designed for driving sims, aswell as lfs designed for pads, so you should either train to be smooth, make a mod as crashgate suggested or buy a wheel

Quote from loopingz :It is normal that AA eat fps...

I know but even with AAx4 I have over 120fps usually, so its not like I'm having hardware limitations, its the way Fraps and LFS with AA work together and I'm curious if this is a bug or not.
